What's on the Itinerary?
DAY 1: AIRPORT PICKUPS & ARRIVALS
Our team will pick you up at Guwahati Airport. You can arrive at any point on October 16th from 11 AM onwards. After some rest and relaxation, we will have a welcome dinner, get to know the amazing people that will be on this journey with you and explore the neighborhood for those who aren't incredibly jet-lagged.

DAY 2: ORIENTATION & VEGAN COOKING
After breakfast we’ll have an orientation about the Northeast region and culture. We’ll then take a walk around the city of Guwahati and visit Purva Tirupati Shri Balaji temple. In the evening we’ll take a vegan cooking class and walk along the Brahamaputra river during sunset.

DAY 3: SUALKUCHI & HAJO
After breakfast we’ll start off the trip with a ferry ride across the Brahmaputra River to the town of Sualkuchi, famous for weaving sarees of Muga silk. We’ll spend the morning and early afternoon here, visiting some of the handlooms and interacting with the artisans. In the late afternoon we’ll drive to the nearby village of Hajo to visit historic temples and shrines before returning to Guwahati.

DAY 4: KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast we’ll pack our bags and leave for Kaziranga National Park where we’ll be spending the day. We’ll start with a Rhino Wildlife Conservation workshop, followed by lunch. In the evening there will be a jeep safari in the Central Range of the park that is known for its Rhinos, Water Buffalos, Deer and Wild Boars. We’ll finish the evening at our hotel in Kaziranga for dinner.

DAY 5: KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK
Early in the morning we’ll start the day with an Elephant jeep safari in the Central Range of Kaziranga National Park, where you’ll be able to get up close and appreciate the wildlife. Breakfast will follow before we head back out for a safari in the Western Range. There will be the option to go to the Eastern Range of the park for bird watching of endangered species such as the Pallas’s Fish Eagle and the Spot-billed Pelicans. In the evening we’ll return to the hotel for dinner.

DAY 6: SHILLONG
Early in the morning we’ll go for a final jeep safari to observe the rhinos, grassland birds and raptors and enjoy our last morning in Kaziranga National Park. We’ll then return to the hotel for breakfast and pack up for our drive to Shillong, the capital city of Meghalaya.

DAY 7: SHILLONG
After breakfast we’ll start our day with a visit to the sacred forests of Mawphlang village, home to the Khasi tribe of Meghalaya who were once animists. On our way back we’ll stop at Shillong Peak where we can enjoy panoramic views of the city. After lunch, we’ll visit the Museum of Culture, which showcases the culture of all eight North Eastern states. Later in the afternoon we’ll head over to the Polo grounds for a game of ‘Teer’, a local form of archery that is popular in Meghalaya.

DAY 8: MAWLYNNONG
After breakfast we’ll take a drive towards Mawlynnong, the cleanest village in Asia. We’ll stroll through the flower laden paths of the village, which overlooks Bangladesh, before taking a short walk to the neighboring village of Riwai to see the small root bridge. After a quick lunch we’ll take a drive to Cherrapunji and return to Shillong for dinner.

DAY 9: CHERRAPUNJI BRIDGE TREK
After breakfast, we’ll take a day trip to Cherrapunji to take the trek along the famous Root Bridges, which can only be found in the Khasi Hills of Meghalaya. The trek passes through verdant slopes, criss crossed by streams. Along the walk you can see natural emerald blue ponds and deep valleys with amazing views. In the evening we’ll return to Shillong.

DAY 10: GUWAHATI FREE DAY
After checkout, we’ll drive back to Guwahati. We’ll reach the city by lunchtime and you’ll be given the rest of the day to relax and enjoy your last day in Guwahati where you can explore the city, do some last minute shopping or relax with a massage. Tonight we will have our Goodbye Dinner.

DAY 11: GOODBYE & AIRPORT DROP OFF
After a goodbye brunch, we will be organizing airport drop offs throughout the day. If you have a late night flight, you can explore Guwahati, get an optional massage or get in your last bits of shopping. Today is for you to spend time reflecting on the adventures and taking in the last few hours of India slowly. The last airport drop off will be at 10 PM.
